Whether it’s building more wall, another law, drones, more agents or maybe something as smart as filling in drug cartel tunnels with cement, something more needs to be done at the border.

According to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), six MS-13 gang members have been charged in the stabbing murder of a Maryland man in July. Of the seven people arrested in total, the six that were identified as members of MS-13, also known as Mara Salvatrucha, are also in the U.S. illegally.

According to the Baltimore Sun:

Baltimore County detectives say members of MS-13 stalked 21-year-old Daniel Alejandro Alvarado Cuellar home from the laundromat in July and stabbed him to death — one killer allegedly armed with a machete-style knife — outside his apartment in Towson. Investigators attributed the killing to a war between two Latino street gangs, 18th Street and MS-13[…]

Charged in the murder are Jonathan Escobar-Hernandez, 20, Marlon Leonardo Fabian-Flores, 20, Edwin Edgardo Garcia-Martir, 18, Hugo Portillo-Chavez, 31, Jose Fausto Rivera-Coreas, 19, Odaliz Rosas-Yanez, 20, and Leonel Alexander Velasquez-Hernadez, 16. Velasquez-Hernadez is charged as an adult.

It’s not known which six of the seven people arrested are in the country illegally. However, an ICE spokeswoman noted that five of the suspects in the country illegally are from El Salvador with the remaining illegal immigrant suspect is from Mexico.

The news of this group of MS-13 gang members being identified comes just two months after another 22 MS-13 gang members were charged with being part of seven murders that occurred during a two-year span in Los Angeles, “some of which involved hacking people to death with machetes in the Angeles National Forest.”
