Ugh. Just ugh. Can’t the Left come up with an idea without piggy backing off an organic idea by their political counterparts? Come on, man! I thought the Left were supposed to be the “creative” ones? This is just sad.

Who’s ready to throw up?

In response to the organic fundraising campaign on crowdfunding site GoFundMe to build a border wall on the U.S./Mexico border, a member of the far-Left, vehemently anti-President Trump LGBT advocacy organization Human Rights Campaign started a campaign of their own. Charlotte Clymer created the page in order to combat Purple Heart recipient, and triple amputee veteran, Brian Kolfages’s original crowdfunding effort to build a border wall.

Why? The campaign was started in order to “make sure ladders are ready to send over to our undocumented friends and help them.

According to Clymer’s GoFundMe page:

We saw some folks are raising money for a border wall to keep out our migrant siblings and fellow human beings, who are fleeing violence and persecution and whose tragically-underpaid labor is essential to the U.S. economy. Seems like a bad idea on countless levels for everyone involved.  Maybe we should focus on human rights and creating a community that reflects our supposed values.

Holy virtue signaling, Batman!

You know, Clymer could save all of the people donating to her campaign money by signing up volunteers, including herself, to house the people that she wants to illegally enter the U.S.

Throughout Clymer’s GuFundMe posting, she sounded absolutely petty in the words she used to drum up support for her efforts.

“You see, they’ll never reach their goal, but no matter how much we raise, we’re going to reach ours,” Clymer wrote. “Supporting an organization working to help immigrants seeking legal asylum. This GoFundMe isn’t really about ladders at all. It’s about lifting people up.”

Isn’t Clymer just dripping with “tolerance?”

As for the original idea, which is Kolfage’s GoFundMe campaign, it has raised a little over $12.5 million in four-and-a-half days from over 205,000 people, as of this writing. Conversely, Clymer’s GoFundMe has received just $88,663 from almost 4,000 people since it was posted on December 19th.

If you do the math, the average donation for Kolfage’s campaign is $60.94, while the average donation for Clymer’s campaign is $22.24. The average amount of money being donated to each campaign comes out to over $2.75 million a day for the pro-wall campaign and a little more than $59,000 per day for the anti-wall campaign. The difference between the two campaigns is even more astounding when you consider that Kolfage’s campaign has 51 times the number of donations as Clymer’s. Typically, the more people that donate to something the lower the average becomes. That's not the case here.

The anti-border wall campaign goal is $100 million. Looks like Clymer needs some PR help.
