House Republican Ralph Abraham Announces Resolution to Remove Nancy Pelosi From Office

Rep. Ralph Abraham (R-La.) has filed a resolution (H. Res. 620) calling for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to be “expelled from the House and for the Speaker’s Office to be vacated.”

Abraham posted a statement to his House website concerning the resolution:

Nancy Pelosi's vicious crusade against our lawfully-elected President is nothing more than a politically-motivated witch hunt and it must be stopped. She has disgraced the people's House and weaponized the Speaker's gavel for her party’s political gain. House Democrats spent nearly three years obsessed with election meddling only to dwarf any such efforts with their own deceitful plan to nullify the 2016 election and prevent President Trump from winning in 2020. I have introduced a resolution calling for her to be expelled from the House and for the Speaker's Office to be vacated.

The move by Abraham comes a little over two weeks after Pelosi went against her own words and announced a formal impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Trump has been accused of soliciting the aid of a foreign government into possible nefarious business dealings former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden might have had with the Ukrainians before the 2016 presidential election.
