Don’t be fooled by the current outpouring of the typical outrage we get from politicians. Their outrage is as manufactured as their campaign promises end up being. Here’s the thing. Whether you like President Donald Trump or not, what’s the point of foaming at the mouth about removing him from office when he has less than two weeks left in his term? I don’t know. Maybe logic is as dead as common sense is already.

Leftists on the House Judiciary Committee made a plea in a letter to Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment, which would allow Pence to remove Trump from office.

Democrats cited Wednesday’s unrest at the Capitol in Washington D.C. and Trump’s alleged “incitement” of the protesters who entered the Capitol building.

“The world watched aghast as insurrectionists, who had been egged on by the President, threatened the safety of elected officials and staff and destroyed public property as they stormed and occupied both the House and Senate chambers bringing our democracy to a halt," 18 committee members wrote, according to the Wall Street Journal. "At one point, the insurrectionists even removed an American flag flying at the Capitol and replaced it with a Trump flag.”

Democrats aren’t the only one calling for Trump’s removal.

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) has also called for the invocation of the 25th Amendment because he wants Trump gone.

“The president is unfit, and the president is unwell,” Kinzinger said in a Twitter video.
