The GOP tax cuts are really turning out to be a “sweet” deal. Yeah, I said it.

Sweet snack maker Hostess Brands are adding the name to the ever growing list of companies who are sharing the benefits of the corporate tax rate being slashed with their employees.

Not only will the bulk of Hostess employees get a one-time bonus of $1,250, but they will also receive some sugary benefits.

According to Fox Business:

In addition to a payout of $1,250 to a majority of its hourly employees, the Ding Dong maker will sweeten the deal even more and will give all of its 1,300 employees a year’s worth of free snacks, which include popular treats such as Hostess CupCakes, Fruit Pies and Donettes.

Each week, the company said it will select a “product of week” and provide a multi-pack for every employee to bring home.

Free cupcakes?! Am I the only one to eat around the white icing on a chocolate cupcake so I can eat it last? I can't be. Maybe I am. Don't judge me.

Hostess CEO Daren Metropoulos released a statement crediting the GOP tax cuts for the announcement. The corporate tax rate was decreased from a sky-high 35 percent down to 21 percent.

“The recent tax-reform changes have given us the opportunity to review our benefit and compensation structure,” Metropoulos said. “The company’s management and board take great pleasure in sharing the company’s success with our employees.”

Hostess joins the likes of the Walt Disney Company, Home Depot and Starbucks in using the money the companies will save on taxes to give their employees a slice of the pie.
