Hillary Clinton's hard at work promoting her new book, in which she attempts to explain the 5,000 reasons she lost lat year's presidential election to Donald Trump. Along with Barack Obama, James Comey and racist, misogynistic voters, Hillary's list of chief offenders also includes the Electoral College, which she claims should be "eliminated."

"I think it needs to be eliminated," Clinton told CNN's Anderson Cooper Wednesday night,  "I'd like to see us move beyond it, yes."

This might have something to do with the fact that while she won the popular vote, Clinton's hopes of becoming the first Madame President were dashed by the Electoral College, which Trump won by 306 votes to her 236

Then again, Clinton made similar remarks after the 2000 presidential election, in which Al Gore was defeated by George W. Bush despite also leading in the popular vote.

"We are a very different country than we were 200 years ago," then Senator-elect Clinton said at the time. "I believe strongly that in a democracy, we should respect the will of the people and to me, that means it's time to do away with the Electoral College and move to the popular election of our president" before ironically adding, "I hope no one is ever in doubt again about whether their vote counts."
