'He Growled at Me': Man Shot After Breaking Into Ky. Neighbor's Home and Undressing

2.6k views

Don’t do drugs, kids. At the very least, don’t do so many drugs that your initial reaction to people not being pleased you broke into their home involves growling. Yes, growling.

A 38-year-old Kentucky man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly breaking into his neighbor’s home and undressing in a young girl’s bedroom. Donald Oliver was shot by the boyfriend of the girl’s mother after Oliver, already undressed, entered the kitchen.

Sounds pretty weird, right? That’s because it most definitely was.

Oliver entered the home in the early morning on Sunday, entered a 12-year-old girl’s room and began undressing. The girl wasn’t harmed during the ordeal.

“She was really smart," Tina Burton, the girl’s mother, said. "She hid under the cover, turned her light down, turned her volume down on her phone to text me. When she peeked under the cover to see where he was at, she got up and ran away. She went to the back room. And I think that was really brave and smart of her.”

In perhaps one of the greatest and weirdest quotes I might’ve ever heard, Burton’s boyfriend Ali Bracey confronted the man once he left the girl’s bedroom and entered the kitchen in only his underwear.

“I told him to get out, and he didn’t want to move,” Bracey said. “And he growled at me.”

The dude growled at him. That’s something that actually happened. I gotta say, 2019 is one of the weirdest years I’ve ever experienced.

Bracey told WDRB that he shot at Oliver six times before the strange man finally ran away.

Authorities found Oliver and arrested him not long after he fled the scene. Police found a bag of heroin they believe to be Oliver’s back at the house where he undressed.

As no big shock to anyone, Oliver has a lengthy rap sheet that now includes his latest charges of burglary, assault and possession of a controlled substance.

Maybe the guy was so whacked out of his mind that he thought the neighbor’s house was his house. Whatever the case, Oliver might want to look into rehab.
