Gun-Control Activist Wants to 'Blow Away' Lawmaker and NRA Members

In Connecticut, a woman who hates guns allegedly wanted to use a gun to “blow away” advocates of the Second Amendment.

Oh the irony. 

The unnamed anti-gun activist had to be removed from the yearly Judiciary Committee hearing on guns after she was spotting texting threats to shoot a state senator and National Rifle Association (NRA) members.

“If I had a gun, I’d blow away Sampson and a large group of NRA…” the text that was still in progress read, according to a photo. 

A 2A supporter snapped the picture showing the activist typing the text and it was found that State Senator Rob Sampson (R-Ct.) was one of the people she seemingly wanted to hurt.

According to Newsweek:

Sampson is a staunch supporter of Second Amendment gun ownership rights and has previously spoken out against bump stock legislation to the state general assembly. The NRA honored Sampson in October 2014 with the group's "Defender of Freedom Award" for fighting against Senate Bill 1160, which sought to prohibit the sale of long guns to anyone under eighteen but the NRA labeled, "one of the most egregious anti-gun bills in U.S. history."

Capitol Police were informed of the woman’s threatening message and removed her from the meeting but after examining her they determined she was not a threat and did not arrest the activist, the Connecticut Post reported.
