Goya Foods has named NY Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez their Employee of the Month after the socialist congresswoman slammed the company’s CEO, Bob Unanue, for visiting President Donald Trump at the White House for a roundtable discussion with Hispanic leaders.

AOC quickly threw her support behind calls for a boycott of the company’s popular foods, writing on Twitter, “Oh look, it's the sound of me Googling 'how to make your own Adobo.’”

Unanue and his company were also blasted by the left's lynch mob for supposedly selling out other Hispanics for Trump, who progressives have long deemed a racist and xenophobe who hates immigrants.

But it looks like the effort backfired - and in a big way. Unanue said that following AOC’s tweet, his company’s sales shot up by quadruple digits, prompting them to give her the award for her inadvertent help in boosting their bottom line.

“When she boycotted us, our sales actually increased 1,000%, so we gave her an honorary — we never were able to hand it to her — she got employee of the month for bringing attention to Goya and our adobo,” Unanue said Monday on “The Michael Berry Show."
