Well, that didn’t take long.

General Electric Company (GE) is looking into doing business with Iran.

The oil and gas division of GE, headed up by CEO of GE Oil & Gas Lorenzo Simonelli, made a recent visit to the country whose Ayatollah Khamenei preaches “death to America.”

A GE company spokeswoman commented on Simonelli’s visit to Iran, saying, "In line with the easing of sanctions, we have begun looking at potential business opportunities in Iran, while fully complying with the rules laid out by the U.S. government. Simonelli's visit is part of this effort."

As reported by Reuters, Iran is looking for different avenues to boost its oil exports to counteract the share of the market they lost as a result of the sanctions that were levied against it because of their nuclear program.
