As leaders of seven of the world's top nations met this weekend for the G7 summit, President Joe Biden made no shortage of gaffes - two of which were especially notable.

At one point, as U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson introduced leaders who had just joined the meeting, he welcomed South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, the only black person in the room.

Soon after, Biden interjected, suggesting that Johnson had forgotten Ramaphosa, introducing him with, “and the president of South Africa.”

The clip, posted by Sky News, shows Johnson reminding Biden that he already welcomed the South African leader.

“And the president of South Africa, as I said early on,” emphasized Johnson, affirming that he had not forgotten as Biden had suggested.

“Oh, you did?” Biden questioned, as the room of world leaders broke into laughter.

This mistake caused many to circle back to the hotly contested question of Biden’s mental fitness.

Malaysian commentator Ian Miles Cheong tweeted in response to the clip: “Either Biden had another dementia moment or he did not know the name of the only black leader in the room.”

This, however, was not Biden’s only public moment of confusion at this weekend’s summit.

While speaking to the press, the 78-year-old president repeatedly referred to Syria as Libya — despite the countries not only being different, but also being located on separate continents entirely.

“There’s a lot going on where we can work together with Russia. For example, in Libya, we should be opening up the passes to be able to go through and provide — provide food assistance and economic — I mean, vital assistance to a population that’s in real trouble,” Biden explained, reported The Daily Wire.

While aids admitted the president meant to say “Syria,” according to Bloomberg News reporter Jennifer Jacobs, Biden made the same blunder twice more in his speech.

Biden’s performance among international leaders at the G7 summit certainly made news — unfortunately, just not for his policy or inspiring stances...but for his gaffes.
