The temporary shutdown of the government, dubbed by the GOP as the “Schumer Shutdown” earned the Democrats the “potential for momentum” according to Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.)

CNN asked Monday, “What one thing can you point out that Democrats, leader Schumer, what one thing did he get, from Republicans to justify shutting down the government in the first place?”

“So the one thing that I would say he did get, was the potential for momentum,” Wasserman Schultz replied.

Great argument Debbie, flesh that out a bit for us. She tries - we laugh.

We haven’t seen Debbie this flustered since the Donna Brazile book came out with the claim that the then-DNC Chair was in cahoots to help Clinton get the party’s presidential nomination over Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Watch the video above and just try not to chuckle. I dare you.
