Forget the Mueller Report: CNN's Chief Legal Analyst Says Trump's Frustration 'Is Evidence Of Guilt'

CNN seems to have a hard time understanding why an innocent man would be upset over being accused of something he says he didn’t do.

We saw it with SCOTUS Justice Brett Kavanaugh, whose anger over being accused of sexual assault visibly distressed him during his Senate confirmation hearings. But to the liberal media, that wasn’t a sign of an innocent man trying to defend himself – rather, it was a sign of guilt.

And apparently, the same goes for President Donald Trump.

In a desperate effort to salvage something out of their totally disastrous “Russian collusion” theory, the liberal media spent Thursday morning poring over Robert Mueller’s newly released, 400-page report detailing his findings after investigating alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government to rig the 2016 presidential election. Despite Mueller’s conclusion that there was no effort by Trump or anyone on his team to conspire with the Russians, CNN’s chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin nevertheless determined that Trump must be guilty – because he was “frustrated" by the nearly two-year investigation.

"The most extraordinary paragraph of the attorney general’s statement is this sort of ‘woe is me’ problem that the president…you know, that there were leaks and there were people around, and he was frustrated – and that’s evidence of guilt! That’s not evidence of innocence! You know, happy people don’t obstruct justice,” Toobin rambled.

When CNN host Jake Tapper jumped in, pointing out that the report specified that Trump was “frustrated” and yet still “fully cooperated” the investigation, another CNN analyst chimed in, claiming “that can be a reason to obstruct.”

“If you’re frustrated, if you’re overwhelmed, if you’re sensitive, if you think there’s a cloud over your presidency, that can also lead to you making decisions that a more sane, resolved person would not make,” she claimed.
