Just because someone is well-educated, it doesn’t always mean they're intelligent. All it does, more times than not these days, is prove that you can go into more debt than the average person. So when you have a “well-educated” member of Congress, it seems that the intelligence level decreases — at least for a lot of members that have been in office in the last 30 years or so.
Well, former acting director for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Tom Homan has had his battles with members of Congress over the years, but perhaps none more memorable than when he put socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) in her place on the topic of immigration back in 2019.
While Homan was a guest on “Fox &Friends” on Wednesday, he took the opportunity to respond to a question lobbed at him concerning the founding member of “the Squad” and immigration.
“Tom, if you break in a closed business, you go to jail. You’re arrested,” co-host Ainsley Earhardt said before asking Homan her question. “And they’re saying the border is closed. So why are they letting these individuals come into this closed country and then they get a pass? And you heard AOC yesterday even say that she doesn’t want gang members deported. Why?”
Homan didn’t mince his words in how he feels about Ocasio-Cortez.
“First of all, AOC is the least smart congresswoman in the history of Congress,” Homan replied. “Every time she opens her mouth about immigration, she's wrong.”
Just on immigration?
Homan continued with his answer and said that President Joe Biden’s regime has made it so that the U.S. now has record levels of illegal entries combined with record-low levels of removals.
