Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar husband's business has made millions from his wife's campaign  - and still managed to collect hundreds of thousands in coronavirus bailout money.

Public records show  E Street Group LLC, of which Omar’s husband Tim Mynett is a co-owner, received $134,800 in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans, and $500,000 Economic Injury Disaster (EID) loans.  The records also show that between October and the day after Election Day, E Street Group received $2.7million from Omar’s campaign.

According to Fox News:

Omar pledged in mid-November that she was cutting ties with her husband’s firm and the payments were made before that. Before their marriage in March, Mynett’s firm was already doing work for Omar’s campaign.

The bailout loans are intended to provide relief to small businesses struggling from coronavirus lockdowns.
