At FedEx, U2's Bono Grateful to ‘Hold Up’ Rep. Scalise

U2’s Bono said the group is “so grateful” that Rep. Steve Scalise and other targets in the recent attempted assassination of GOP members at a baseball field “made it through.”

“You’ve been through some troubling days with the shooting in Alexandria. We are so grateful that Congressman Scalise and his comrades made it through. So grateful. We hold them up as love holds us all up,” Bono said during Tuesday evening’s live performance at FedExField in nearby Maryland, just over a dozen miles from where the shooting incident took place.

Rep. Scalise took to Twitter to thank the group, including a clip of concert video seen below.
