Fauci Says Unvaxxed CHILDREN Must Still Wear Facemasks, Even If Adults Don't

Dr. Anthony Fauci, our resident fearmonger-in-chief, now says that even though the CDC has stated that fully vaccinated persons can resume life as normal without wearing face masks in the majority of places, young children – the segment of the populace least likely to suffer from the coronavirus – should continue to wear masks because they can’t get The Jab.

“The children do when they’re out there playing with their friends, particularly in an indoor situation,” Fauci told CNN Thursday, in response to whether children need to wear masks in social situations. “They do.”

Kids should continue to wear masks until a COVID vaccine has been approved for children, Fauci said, saying he hopes that will be by sometime this year. So far, vaccines have only been approved for kids 12 and up, leaving the youngest kids out of luck when it comes to taking off their face diapers.

As per usual, Fauci also downplayed the significance of the CDC updating its guidance to say vaccinated persons don’t even have to wear masks or socially distance, after more than a year of being told – and, in many cases, forced – to do so.

According to Fauci, the CDC's monumental about-face is merely “an important step” toward “some degree of normality,” saying, as he’s so often blathered before, that we shouldn’t “declare victory prematurely.”

"I wouldn't go so far as to say this is essentially over," Fauci told CNN's Jake Tapper, seemingly unable to let go of the pandemic that's put him in such a bright spotlight for more than a year.

“I think this is a very important step in the direction of trying to get back to some degree of normality,” he said. “I wouldn’t want to declare victory prematurely, but I’m saying this is clearly a step in the direction we want to go.”

As the economy begins to sputter back to normal, more people get vaccinated, and the country heads into the summertime, many public school districts have come under fire from parents demanding that local school officials rescind mask mandates on children, particularly very young kids who have long been known to not be at a high risk of contracting and suffering from COVID.
