Elizabeth Warren Says the Filibuster 'Has Deep Roots in Racism,' Despite Using It Again Sen. Tim Scott Just Last Year

Politicians have short memories, maybe on purpose since the vast majority of their moves aren’t worth remembering in the first place. That lack of memory seems to contribute directly to their complete lack of self-awareness. They’ll come out in opposition of something that they themselves used just months earlier. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Opportunist Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) told Axios on Thursday that she believes “the filibuster has deep roots in racism.”

“The filibuster has deep roots in racism, and it should not be permitted to serve that function, or to create a veto for the minority,” Warren said. “In a democracy, it's majority rules.”

Well, unless your party was in the minority for the last few years, right Lizzy?

Warren herself used the filibuster last June — against black Sen. Tim Scott’s (R-S.C.) police reform bill, as reported by the Daily Caller.

Isn’t it ironic that the people who call everything racist performed the supposedly “racist” act themselves but say it’s different for one reason or another? Maybe it’s not ironic. Maybe their actions are completely intentional so that they can play both sides of an argument and use one of those sides when it’s convenient for said argument at the times they need it.

These politicians will say whatever they have to say whenever it’s politically expedient for them — opportunist wolves in “woke” sheep’s clothing.
