Do you trust the federal government? It appears, based on recent moves by President Joe Biden’s regime, that you shouldn’t. And here’s the thing, it wouldn’t matter which president’s administration, from any political party, was making these decisions. Any form of government that would do what the current regime is doing isn’t worthy of the American people’s trust.
As if having the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), National Security Agency (NSA) and many other “intelligence” agencies weren’t enough, now the Biden regime is creating another one — and if you have negative opinions about the federal government, this applies to you.
During testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen announced the formation of a “domestic terrorism” division of the Department of Justice (DOJ).
While Olsen didn’t report the name of the new division, he was very clear as to who the new division will be looking into.
According to American Military News:
The move is spurred by what Olsen described as a “growing threat” of individuals motivated by factors such as “racial animus” and “extremist anti-government and anti-authority ideologies.”
Ideologies themselves are not a basis for what the DOJ considers domestic terrorism, Olsen noted. “We prosecute people for engaging in violent behavior, not for their beliefs.”
And while Olsen can say that the DOJ won’t target people “for their beliefs,” Biden himself contradicted that sentiment in comments made on Thursday.
“I make a special appeal to social media companies and media outlets — please deal with the misinformation and disinformation that's on your shows. It has to stop,” Biden said from his fake White House set.
Sure, Biden was referring to COVID information and opinions, but most of us know by now that will just be added on to the “misinformation” and “disinformation” that social media companies have been censoring for years.
We can also take into account that even though Olsen tried to convey normal, everyday people won’t be targeted for their opinions, it wouldn’t be the first time if a federal government entity targeted Americans for their political opinions.
In 2013, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) apologized for targeting conservatives and conservative groups.
But that’s not all.
The New York Post reported earlier this week that Department of Education Secretary Miguel Cardona allegedly asked then-interim CEO of the National School Boards Association (NSBA) Chip Slaven for the now infamous letter that compared concerned parents to “domestic terrorists.”
The Post reported:
In an Oct. 6 message to NSBA board member Marnie Maraldo, Secretary-Treasurer Kristi Swett said then-interim CEO Chip Slaven had told his fellow officers “he was writing a letter to provide information to the White House, from a request by Secretary Cardona.”
The email was obtained through a public records request by the group Parents Defending Education and shared with The Post. It is the first piece of evidence to suggest Cardona’s specific involvement in the NSBA letter.
While government has never been the most trustworthy of sources, do actions like the ones taken above induce Americans to place their trust in an entity that is entirely funded by their tax dollars?
At this point, the federal government seems to firmly believe that the people work for them, not the other way around.
