Donna Brazile Walks Back Claims That Hillary Rigged the Election

Well, that didn’t take long at all.

After filling the media airwaves with arguably one of the more juicy stories to come out about how Hillary Clinton rigged the Democratic primary against her opponent Bernie Sanders, former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile is now taking it all back.

In an attempt to fool us all, Brazile appears to be on her own campaign run to make it seem as though her excerpt about Clinton taking over fundraising and other monetary assets of the DNC, and then basically leaving no room for Bernie to operate, was somehow taken out of context.

The Washington Post even took Brazile to task, reporting that Brazile’s interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” was “dramatically” different than what she reported in her book.

Apart from her MSNBC appearance, Brazile also appeared on CBS’ news program “This Morning” to spout the same “Clinton didn’t rig anything” talking points, visibly upsetting the hosts of the show. Watch the segment below:

We may never understand why Brazile decided within a week to take back her claims, but we can certainly make inferences. Maybe it could be because President Trump used her claims against the Democratic party she so faithfully stands beside. 

Maybe it’s because Hillary Clinton may still be calling the shots and doesn’t like all the negative press. Or maybe Brazile is just trying to make a little extra cash in book sales with all this facetime she’s been getting.

Who knows? But, If you were to ask Brazile, then you probably wouldn’t get a straight up answer anyway.
