Democrats came up short in a special election for Ohio's 12th Congressional District last night -- an election that came down to every last vote. So did they take responsibility for their shortcoming?
Nope.
With the race coming down to less than 2,000 votes, Democrats have yet to concede — and party members are blaming liberals who voted for the Green Party.
As of late Tuesday night, Republican Troy Balderson was leading Democrat Danny O'Connor by under 1,800 votes. However, Green Party candidate Joe Manchik received only 1,127 votes.
Do the math, and it’s clear that Democrats would have lost even if they received every last Green Party vote.
Yet still, many Democrats put the blame on Green Party voters -- including left-wing comedienne Kathy Griffin, who tweeted:
Green Party voters..no one is saying you can't vote for your candidates....but don't tell me you care about the environment if you know your vote will make the difference between a Dem winning over a Rep and you still choose to vote for your candidate who has NO chance of winning

Plenty of other disappointed liberals seemed to agree with her.
If you're a liberal in #OH12 and voted for the Green party candidate, you may not be receiving a Christmas card from your Democratic friends this year.

I'm just going to assume Green Party voters are conservatives who can't bring themselves to vote Republican because that is only possible explanation after 18 months of Trump Admin wreaking havoc on everything. No way those are conscientious progressives.#OH12
