Tennessee Democratic Rep. Steve Cohen, who’s whiter than an albino standing in a blizzard, openly called Star Parker, a pro-life black woman, either ignorant or too stupid to understand congressional decorum during a committee hearing Wednesday in an outburst so unprofessional that it shut down the entire event.
At the kickoff of the hearing before the House Judiciary Committee debating legislation that would ban abortions once a fetal heartbeat could be detected, Cohen attempted to deflect from the proven humanity of the unborn by segueing into a rant against congressional Republicans’ attempts to dismantle Obamacare.
Parker, a black woman who had four abortions herself before becoming the now pro-life founder of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education (CURE), said she found it “disingenuous” to focus on healthcare while ignoring mass murder.
“When it comes to mixing the abortion issue with the challenges that we face in many of our hard-hit communities, I feel it disingenuous that the issues of Medicaid would come up and other opportunities for us to readdress what has happened and broken down in our most distressed zip codes, the way that Planned Parenthood specifically targets these particular zip codes with abortion,” Parker explained.
“Abortion is the leading cause of death in the black community today,” she went on. “Since Roe v. Wade was legalized, 20 million humans have been killed inside of the womb of black women.”
Apparently, pointing out that it’s intellectually dishonest to fret over healthcare woes while denying the most innocent among us their very right to life didn’t sit well with Cohen, who lit into Parker like a bottle rocket.
In a near minute-long tirade that seemingly popped up out of nowhere, an enraged Cohen proceeded to call Parker ignorant and accused her of not knowing how to speak to a member of Congress properly.
The congressman then demanded Parker apologize to him for pointing out his own logical fallacy. The representative’s outburst was so outrageous, it prompted a few other members of the committee to respond out of turn before House Judiciary Chair Steve King abruptly ended the hearing altogether, citing the committee’s “lack of civility.”

As of this writing, it’s been about two hours since the congressional hearing ended, and liberal groups like the NAACP, the ACLU and prominent pro-abortion groups, usually the first to sound the racism alarm whenever a black women is criticized or publicly berated for her views by a white man, have yet to speak out on Parker’s behalf.
I guess their defense is only merited if you get called an "empty barrel" for politicizing Gold Star families, but not if you're called stupid for defending the lives of black children.
