It’s like the politicians either don’t realize we can see them and their actions, or they simply don’t care if we know what they’re doing, because they’ve become brazen in letting people know exactly who they are in real life — which Congress isn’t, because it’s a show at this point.

The Washington Free Beacon reported on information from the Yankee Institute that Sen. Richard Blumental (D-Conn.) not only attended, but spoke at an awards ceremony affiliated with the Communist Party USA and the “Marxist” People’s World news website last Saturday.

The "Amistad Awards" was and is reportedly used to recruit people to join the Communist Party.

According to the Yankee Institute’s report:

Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-CT, joined the program as a surprise guest to offer his congratulations and present the award winners with certificates of special recognition from the United States Senate. “I am really excited and honored to be with you today and share in this remarkable occasion,” Blumenthal said.

Blumenthal said one doesn’t have to agree with everything the party or the unions stand for and said he was there to acknowledge “the great tradition of activism and standing up for individual workers that is represented by the three honorees.”

Blumenthal also used his time to pitch support for the Build Back Better plan, voting legislation, a national $15 minimum wage, ending the filibuster and re-electing Democrats to Congress.

While Blumenthal is correct that you don’t have to agree with everything organizations or parties stand for in order to hold a dialogue and appreciate the good things said entities are doing, other words he imparted on the audience told a different story.

Here’s what Blumenthal told attendees:

There’s a lot to be working for in economic justice, in racial equity, in establishing a $15 minimum wage. I mean really, in the United States of America, $15? It ought to happen nationwide and to hold corporations accountable for the basic treatment of the American people.

But that’s not all. For people in which he intimated that don’t “agree” on everything, Blumenthal had some flowery words for the “many, many years of support” from those affiliated with the event.

“Thank you for your help and support over many, many years,” Blumenthal said. “And again, my congratulations to these great honorees. Thank you for allowing me to participate.”

After those words, Blumenthal presented the commies a “certificate of special recognition from the Senate.”

So, the Senate is giving official declarations to communists. Good to know.
