In an attempt to shame Texas business owners who donated to President Donald Trump, Democratic Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Tx.) tweeted out their donor information hoping to incite the liberal mob.

“Sad to see so many San Antonians as 2019 maximum donors to Donald Trump — the owner of ⁦@BillMillerBarBQ⁩, owner of the ⁦@HistoricPearl, realtor Phyllis Browning, etc⁩,” he posted last week. “Their contributions are fueling a campaign of hate that labels Hispanic immigrants as ‘invaders.’”

But Castro’s plan to make these businesses disappear -- via boycott -- didn’t particularly go the way he expected. One of the restaurants he tried to “expose,” Bill Miller Bar-B-Q, received support from patrons all over the locale in cars “lined up around the block.”

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott even made a stop for some of the barbecue for dinner.

“Reminds me of when libs tried to shut down Chick fil A,” someone tweeted. “We should get all libs out of government and put them in advertising. Seems to work well!”

Good on Castro for offering this free advertisement.

Instead of owning up to what appeared to be targeting conservative businesses, the congressman just cried “racism” toward the president.
