The way the establishment media covers it — or doesn’t — you wouldn’t think there’s a problem at the U.S. southern border with Mexico. Except, there’s absolutely a border crisis happening right now.

Just look at border town of Del Rio, Texas where there are reportedly “close to 15,000 migrants” camping out under the International bridge, which the city of Del Rio owns and operates.

Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin tweeted out video of the scene this past Saturday. The tweet displays video of the thousands of migrants under the International Bridge just an hour before is was posted.

If you ask White House Press Secretary about Vice President Kamala Harris’ job to find “the root causes of migration” — which Fox News’ Peter Doocy did — she’ll play it off like Harris is doing an exemplary job despite not being seen anywhere near the crisis points on the southern border…pretty much ever.

“Where’s the vice president on any of this?” Doocy asked Psaki. “Isn’t she supposed to be addressing the root causes of migration?”

“Absolutely,” Psaki responded. “And she has been addressing the root causes of migration by working with countries in the region to ensure they have the assistance they need, to reduce the number of people that are coming and trying to make those journeys across border. We’ve actually seen a reduction in some of those numbers.”

Psaki isn’t lying when she says they’ve “seen a reduction in some of those numbers,” but she is being disingenuous about those same numbers.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported that they had 208,887 “Southwest Land Border Encounters” in August alone, down from 213,534 in July.

But that doesn’t tell the whole story.

The 208,887 border encounters in August was more than the last three Augusts — combined.

In fact, in Fiscal Year 2021 — which ends after the month of September — the number of border encounters during this fiscal year to date (1,541,651) is more than the combined total of border encounters of the previous two fiscal years (1,435,597).

So yes, the United States without a doubt has a crisis at our southern border.
