CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, who spent the better part of January of last year verbally beating up on a few Catholic high school students for allegedly accosting a Native American man (who, it turned out, was actually picking a fight with them), is now angry at ‘Trumpers” for daring to criticize climate activist Greta Thunberg because she’s just “a kid.”

In a tweet that met the very definition of self-unaware, Cuomo posted Thursday:

Cuomo’s statement echoes a common leftist mantra that children – no matter how politically active – are immune from criticism by virtue of their age, even as they’re being held up as irreproachable experts in their field of activism. It’s an interesting and wildly hypocritical take, particularly for the Chris Cuomos of the world, who’ve shown no hesitation in criticizing children on the opposite side of their own ideological aisle.

Cuomo, for example, was open about his disdain for several high school students from Covington Catholic High School, who were filmed standing peacefully around the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. during last year’s March for Life as a Native American man and several hecklers with the hate group “Black Israelites” got up in their faces and tried to start an altercation. Unlike Greta, the Covington kids weren't seeking the spotlight or holding themselves up as public figures and protest leaders. But apparently, they were fair game - because they were wearing pro-Trump hats.

Cuomo derided the kids, who were dragged publicly on multiple national news networks for days, as "victims of their own choices and actions," even going so far as to compare them with others who have made openly racist comments.

The accusations against the Covington kids ended up being debunked. But CNN’s slanderous coverage of the kids was so bad, in fact, that Nick Sandmann, one of the students, ended up suing the network for millions. CNN ended up settling for an undisclosed amount

But as usual, it seems like “do as I say, not as I do” is the order of the day -- at least for one liberal hack.
