Florida Couple Divorces Over Disagreements About Trump

Bryan Michalek | July 28, 2017

Lynn and David Aronberg were a socialite match made in heaven. Both were very successful people in their own right, with Lynn being a former Miami Dolphins cheerleader and David being a Florida state attorney. The couple married in 2015 after a memorable and romantic proposal under the Eiffel Tower.

But now, the couple is filing for divorce, partly thanks to their disagreements over Donald Trump.

This Thursday, the PR firm where Lynn serves as executive vice president issued a statement announcing her separation from her husband. The press release read as follows: "Dave and Lynn Aronberg Sign Amicable Divorce Settlement Putting an End to What Some Were Calling The Trump Divorce."

Lynn claims in the release that she "felt increasingly isolated in the marriage" as a "staunch Republican and supporter of President Donald Trump," while her husband was a Democrat who served in the Florida state Senate and is considering a run for U.S. Congress.

The Palm Beach Post acquired the couple's financial settlement documents and found that Lynn is receiving around $100,000 worth of benefits, payments to cover half of her rent in a luxury condo in Boca Raton, a new BMW, and $40,000 in cash.

The disclosure of private details in the release has caused many question what's actually going on behind the scenes, but Lynn has maintained she and her ex-husband will remain friends and that she wishes him the best.

As of right now, attempts to get a comment from Mr. Aronberg have been unsuccessful.
