CNN’s Van Jones says that he’s on a “crusade against crazy” with his new book Beyond The Messy Truth.

“I’m sick of the crazy. I’m on a crusade against crazy, we need a movement against madness in the country, this book is a cure for the crazy,” Van Jones told Good Morning America Monday.

The idea that this crusade should include self- immolation of his own career doesn’t seem to come to his attention.

In promotional material for the book, Van Jones claims that he wants to unite Americans, while continuing to proclaim that the 2016 presidential election was a “whitelash”- as he did during election coverage.

From the book’s promotional material:

A passionate manifesto that exposes hypocrisy on both sides of the political divide and points a way out of the tribalism that is tearing America apart—by the CNN political contributor and host hailed as “a star of the 2016 campaign” (The New York Times) who coined the term ‘whitelash.’

“Whitelash” - doesn’t that sound uniting? Van Jones “coined the term” in a rather unhinged moment on election night.

The man who claims GOP policies kill children, “I call them people killers, kid killers,” is now on “a crusade against crazy.” Right.

The Van Jones that described the 2016 Republican National Convention as “some kind of borderline hate-fest,” will “expose hypocrisy on both sides.” Just like he does on CNN, I'm sure.

Watch the video above and decide for yourself if a “cure for the crazy” might need to be prescribed to Van Jones.
