In what can only be described as a bone-chilling, heart-wrenching abdication of true journalism, PBS, America’s taxpayer-funded television outlet, published a “documentary” on abortion, in part showing a woman taking an abortion pill to kill the two twin “lives” she admits she’s carrying.

The segment starts with a montage of abortion clinic workers taking calls from women looking to schedule abortion appointments, while a dubbed-over narrator explains the basic ins-and-outs of a medically-induced abortion with the help of a physician.

“A medical abortion procedure is very similar to inducing a miscarriage. It is safe for women to do up to about 10 weeks of their pregnancy,” abortionist Rebecca Mercier explains.

“It’s a great procedure for women who want to feel like they have control over the procedure, who wants to just have everything happen in the privacy of their own home,” she adds.

The clip then cuts to Mercier handing an unnamed woman a pill with a small cup of water, a medication that will start the process of aborting the woman’s twins.

“This is the first pill you’re going to take,” Mercier explains as the woman downs the pill. “This is the one called the mifepristone. This is the stuff that makes the pregnancy stop growing and start to un-attach a little bit, from the uterus. It gets the process started.”

The abortion provider then tells the woman she’ll take another pill at home that will induce a miscarriage.

“Twenty-four hours later she takes another pill, called misoprostol, that helps to induce the cramping and the bleeding that will actually help her body push the pregnancy tissue out of her uterus,” Mercier tells PBS.

“What I hope I feel is a sense of peace, not only with myself and in the decision that I’ve made, but also a sense of peace with these two beings that I’ve chosen not to bring into the world,” the woman later says, speaking in an interview.

“Thank you for choosing me, and I’m honored to be given this gift of life,” the woman goes on, speaking to the two babies she just voluntarily aborted. “And also, I…I can’t do it right now. I can’t accept that mantle in terms of the other lives that I’m taking care of and I’m responsible for.”

Clearly, it was PBS’s intention to portray abortion as a safe, easy, run-of-the-mill medical procedure meant to affirm a woman’s “right” to “control her own body.”

But according to the woman actually having the abortion, it’s so much more than that – and she admits it. Her unborn babies are alive. They're a "gift." She knows it.

She knows abortion is murder. And so does PBS.
