A Chick-fil-a employee is being credited with saving a customer’s life last week after reportedly performing CPR on a man who went into cardiac arrest in his store's parking lot.

Perhaps even more shocking is the fact that Tauya Nenguke, who manages the restaurant chain’s location in Chula Vista, California, didn’t even ask if the man was gay or straight before giving him life-saving treatment.

According to ABC10, "The 22-year-old said he was working at the drive-thru at around 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 11 when he noticed someone unconscious next to a car in their parking lot. The man was with a group of friends that were trying to perform CPR on him."

Nenguke said he used his knowledge from some pre-nursing courses to run over and start chest compressions on the man, even showing the guy’s friends how to do them so they could take turns and give each other a break. Together, Nenguke and the group keep the man alive until EMTs could arrive on the scene.

“There wasn't any hesitation on my part. I knew that was the place where God placed me at that time," Nenguke later told reporters. "This was honestly a really big calling to be in health care because it was like instinct took over."

Much to the amazement of critics who accuse Chick-fil-a of hating anyone they disagree with, Nenguke was somehow able to keep the man alive without first asking him whether he strictly adhered to the Christian faith, learning his opinion on same-sex marriage, and without first determining whether the man had been born a biological male.
