Chicago Police Dept. Reportedly 'Furious' Over Dropping of Charges Against Smollett

All charges against alleged hate crime hoaxer and actor Jussie Smollett were dropped, and the head of the Chicago Police Department (CPD) is reportedly "furious."

Both CBS Chicago reporter Charlie De Mar and ABC Chicago reporter Rafer Weigel have reported that the CPD, including Superintendent Eddie Johnson, are "furious."

 

 

ABC Chicago reporter Rob Elgas echoed the sentiments of De Mar and Weigel, but added that Johnson had no idea the move by Cook County State's Attorny Kim Foxx was going through.
