A retired 65-year old man living in Richwood, Ohio did not hesitate to express his hatred toward police officers in a couple of signs he displayed in his front yard.
According to the Central Ohio ABC affiliate WSYX, the two signs read, “A good cop is a dead cop” and “Make America great again - support your local cop killer,” according to photos posted on social media.
But later on, when the man's signs were reportedly run over, he called the Union County Sheriff’s Office in the hopes they could find out who was responsible for the destruction of his hateful signs.

The dispatcher told the man to be patient as deputies were handling other calls.
"They don't give a [expletive] about me. That's the way it's always been," the man said, who then called 9-1-1 three more times. "I ain't putting up with this [expletive]."

After reportedly phoning the office three more times, the man parked himself in the middle of the road on his tractor while holding a machete and a sign that stated he was waiting for the police. When they arrived, instead of arresting the retiree, police attempted to calm him down.
When later asked by news reporters about the signs on his lawns, the man replied “It’s my [expletive] First Amendment right.”
Yes, sir, it is. But how are you going to call for the killing of police officers and then proceed to call them when you need assistance? That makes no sense! You can’t be hateful toward a group of people and then turn to them to help you. Unfortunately, you can call for the killing of cops all you want and at the end of the day they would still help you -- because that’s their job.
But ethically, and by all logical reasoning, you can’t have it both ways.
