Carhartt Will Require Employees To Be Vaxxed, Even Without Biden's Mandate

Despite President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for employers with 100 workers or more getting blocked by the Supreme Court, Carhartt, a workwear and outdoor apparel manufacturer, says the company will continue to enforce the mandate for its employees.

“We put workplace safety at the very top of our priority list and the Supreme Court’s recent ruling doesn’t impact that core value,” CEO Mark Valade wrote in an email to employees Friday, a copy of which has since been posted to social media.

“We, and the medical community, continue to believe vaccines are necessary to ensure a safe working environment for every associate and even perhaps their households,” he added, saying that “An unvaccinated workforce is both a people and business risk that our company is unwilling to take.”

Studies have shown that even three COVID vaccine doses don’t prevent the transmission of the virus, meaning that even triple-vaccinated people can – and often do – still contract and spread it. One trial from Israel now suggests that even a fourth dose isn’t enough to keep a person from getting the disease and passing it along, making forced vaccines meant to “stop the spread” not only immoral, but illogical.

Even still, the family-owned, Dearborn, Michigan-based clothing company, which continues to outsource some its product manufacturing to the communist nation of China, is pressing on by requiring all of its 5,500 workers to get the jab.
