Apparently, the mission in California these days is to try and out-crazy each other on a daily basis.
Take “Calexit” leader Shankar Singam, for example. This nitwit, who supposedly is also a “professional school counselor,” went on Fox News' “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Tuesday and told Carlson that he thought it was a “good thing” that middle class people and families are leaving California. Singam’s reasoning for his opinion left even Carlson scratching his head.
Singam is advocating for California to secede from the United States, all because the sanctuary-loving folks in California didn’t get their way in last November’s presidential election.
Carlson brought up the point that middle class people are leaving California in droves and moving to nearby neighboring states, to which Singam responded like a five-year-old by laughing and scoffing at Carlson’s comments.
“If it’s such a well-run place, why is the middle class leaving?” asked Carlson.
Singam repeated the claim that California has the fifth largest economy in the world three times, to which Carlson responded by comparing California’s economy to Mexico's.
“You’ve got a small number of rich people, and you’ve got a ton of poor people, and the middle class is leaving,” Carlson said. “That’s a recipe for instability. You’re aware of that, right?”
You could have made up what Singam said next if you tried. Like, really tried.
Here's what Singam said:
In regards to middle class leaving, that’s actually a good thing. We need these spots to open up for the new wave of immigrants to come up. It’s what we do. We’re exporting our middle class to the United States. You guys should be thanking us for that.
Even Carlson couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
“I’ve never met you. I’ve never heard of you,” Carlson said. “I don’t know if this is, like, a parody segment. You’re punking me, or you’re really high and telling the truth, because high people do.”
Singam admitted that middle class people are leaving California for states like Oregon and Colorado, but then promptly put his foot back in his mouth.
“I’m sure they’ll find out how boring it is and come back,” Singam told a laughing Carlson.
People like Singam are a prime example of how you just can’t fix stupid.
