Porn star lawyer and all-around Trump-basher Michael Avenatti is officially withdrawing from the 2020 presidential race…before ever even really entering into it.

Stormy Daniels’ lawyer blasted out a statement on social media Tuesday saying he’s officially bowing out of the upcoming bid for Commander-in-Chief, much to the dismay of Trump-hating progressives – and more than a few conservatives who were actually looking forward to that inevitable beat down.

"After consultation with my family and at their request, I have decided not to seek the Presidency of the United States in 2020," Avenatti said in the statement. "I do not make this decision lightly — I make it out of respect for my family. But for their concerns, I would run.

Even still, Avenatti says he will “continue to represent Stormy Daniels and others against Donald Trump and his cronies and will not rest until Trump is removed from office."

Of course, he’ll have to find time to do that in between CNN hits, launching weird conspiracy theories against Trump nominees and defending himself from allegations of domestic abuse, but perhaps it's true what they say - there really is no rest for the wicked.
