While congressional Democrats continue to stonewall border security efforts and liberals accuse the Trump administration of “caging” migrant children, immigration officials continue to apprehend dangerous criminal aliens coming across the Southwest border unlawfully – including some who’ve already been deported at least once for crimes like sexually assaulting children.
In just this past week, CBP says they’ve already caught two known gang members, one of whom has been convicted of manslaughter, as well as two convicted child sex offenders.

On Thursday afternoon, agents apprehended a Salvadoran national on a local ranch near Kingsville, Texas. During processing, record checks confirmed the subject is a member of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang.
On Friday morning, agents patrolling the Rio Grande arrested four illegal aliens near Roma, Texas. During processing, record checks on one of the men revealed he is a member of the MS-13 gang with a previous conviction for voluntary manslaughter in DeKalb County, Georgia.
Early Saturday morning, McAllen agents apprehended a group of 12 illegal aliens who attempted to illegally enter the United States near La Joya, Texas. While processing the group, record checks on one of the men revealed a previous arrest and conviction for sexual assault on child in Harris County, Texas.
On April 5, border agents also caught a 47-year-old Honduran man illegally entering the United States. During processing, the man’s records showed he’d already been convicted in DeKalb County, Georgia in 2007 for child molestation and deported at least once.
These apprehensions come as border patrol reports having caught more than 100,000 illegal alien border crossers in March alone, maxing out border facilities and straining local resources across border towns tasked with finding temporary housing and resources for those being turned loose into the United States.
