Footage out of Kenosha, Wisconsin, shows Black Lives Matter rioters smashing in the windshields of random parked cars with baseball bats, as violence, looting and arson marked a second night of violence following the local police shooting of a black man over the weekend.
Black Lives Matter demonstrators also set fire to cars and buildings, adding to the destruction that began Sunday night which left multiple buildings in flames, including setting a blaze at a local car dealership that quickly spread to a nearby church whose marquee had read “Black Lives Matter.”
The unrest follows the police-involved shooting of 29-year-old Jacob Blake, who was shot multiple times in the back and landed in the hospital in serious condition. Police have yet to explain what led to the shooting, though video footage from the scene appears to show Blake, who reportedly has a long criminal history including violent assault, getting into a confrontation with the police just before he was shot while trying to get into an SUV. Witnesses say he was trying to break up a fight between two women when poilce first showed up on the scene.
