Even as members of her own party have criticized her performance, Hillary Clinton has gone to extraordinary lengths – even writing a bookto blame everything and everyone but herself for losing the 2016 presidential election.

At a conference in Mumbai, India over the weekend, Clinton continued her narrative.

When asked why she believes more than 50 percent of white women voted for Trump in 2016, Clinton said that they did so because of male “pressure" -- whether it be from a husband, a boss, or even a son.

"We [the Democratic party] don't do well with married, white women," she said. "Part of that is an identification with the Republican Party and [an] ongoing pressure to vote the way that your husband, your boss, your son... believes you should."

At the event, Clinton was reportedly introduced as the “woman who should have been the president of the United States of America.”

The 2016 Democratic presidential nominee took the opportunity to criticize President Donald Trump, saying America “didn’t deserve” the punishment of him being elected.

"Does America deserve Donald Trump? What's gone wrong?" interviewer Aroon Purie, India Today Editor-In-Chief, asked Clinton.

"No, we didn't deserve that," she replied, laughing.

Clinton went on to say that she was well on her way to winning the election had it not been for former FBI Director James Comey’s ill-timed letter to Congress announcing his decision to reopen the bureau’s investigation into her emails.
