Following the release of the report into the investigation of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's (D) alleged sexual harassment on Tuesday by New York Attorney General (AG) Letitia James, President Joe Biden was asked about whether Cuomo should resign from his post.

After a reporter reminded Biden of his previous statement that he would support the calling for Cuomo's resignation if he was credibly found to have sexually harassed the women making the allegations against the New York governor, Biden provided a simple answer.

"I stand by that statement," Biden said.

"Are you now calling on him to resign?" the reporter followed up.

"Yes," replied Biden.

The reporter then asked whether the president thinks Cuomo should be "impeached and removed from office" should he not resign on his own accord.

"Let's take one thing at a time here," Biden said before making a clear statement regarding Cuomo's possible resignation. "I think he should resign."

The AG report of the investigation into Cuomo's possible sexual harassment concluded that the allegations made by all 11 women against the governor were deemed to be "credible."
