Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden says the COVID-19 crisis presents the “opportunity” to “fundamentally transform the country.”
“I truly think, that if we do this right, we have an incredible opportunity to not just dig out of this crisis, but to fundamentally transform the country, so that it’s more fair, more just, more equitable for everybody” Biden told a group of supporters during a livestream Monday.
It seems he’s taking Hillary Clinton’s advice from April 28th, when she told him that “this would be a terrible crisis to waste” during her livestreamed endorsement of Biden.
Biden’s comments also echo those of Barack Obama in 2008, when he told his supporters “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America,” at a rally in Missouri.
