As the 2020 election trudges toward its contested conclusion, members of the Biden campaign aren’t mincing words when it comes to the “peaceful transfer of power.”

As multiple outlets have reported, campaign spokesman for former vice president Joe Biden’s presidential campaign Andrew Bates spoke about the ability of the U.S. government should President Donald Trump not concede and stay in the White House.

“As we said on July 19th, the American people will decide this election,” Bates said in a statement, according to The Independent. “And the United States government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House.”

The threat of physical violence from the Biden campaign came after a Fox News report claimed that a “senior aide” to Trump allegedly told the outlet that the current president “may ultimately concede,” but that Trump’s “just not there yet.”

Basically, the Fox News report is claiming that Trump “does not have plans to immediately concede the election.”
