Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has made a bold request of the American people for his first 100 days should he be elected to the Oval Office, one that most Americans have already been doing for months — wear a mask.

During an interview released on Thursday with CNN, Biden told Jake Tapper that he’s “going to ask the public for 100 days to mask.”

“It’s a matter of, and I think my inclination Jake, is in the first day I’m inaugurated to say I’m going to ask the public for 100 days to mask,” Biden told Tapper. “Just 100 days to mask. Not forever, 100 days. I think we’ll see a significant reduction if we occur that, that occurs with vaccinations and masking to drive down the numbers considerably, considerably.”

But most people have already been masking for most of 2020. Even people that are against masking still wear masks in establishments where it’s required to enter.

Biden also said that would “issue a standing order” for Americans to be masked in federal buildings and “interstate transportation.”

Earlier in the interview, Tapper asked Biden whether he would join former presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama in their pledge to publicly take a verified vaccine whenever it becomes available and approved by Dr. Anthony Fauci. Biden echoed those sentiments.

“I think that my three predecessors have set the model as to what should be done saying, ‘Once it’s declared to be safe,’ and I think Barack said it’s clear, that’s my measure, then obviously we take it,” Biden said. “And it’s important to communicate to the American people ‘it’s safe. It’s safe to do this.’”

Basically, whatever Obama and Fauci think or say is best.
