BET Founder Robert Johnson Says People Tearing Down Statues Isn't Helping Anyone

People are beginning to understand that the attack on inanimate objects — statues — isn’t about fighting to end racism anymore, if it ever was. It is becoming clear that leftist “activists” who have been looking to take down pretty much anything that’s considered a statue, regardless of who the statue commemorates, has everything to do with subverting the way of life we used to enjoy here in the U.S. Again, thank God people are beginning to get it.

Black Entertainment Television (BET) founder Robert Johnson spoke with Fox News on Wednesday to talk about his thoughts on the attack of American statues by “activists.” Johnson had no problem calling out virtue signaling guilty, white liberals — though, to be fair, he didn’t use those exact terms — for their thinking that what they’re doing to foment change impresses black people.

Here’s part of what Johnson said:

It’s people having fun that they can go out and pull down a statue have the mistaken assumption that black people are sitting around cheering for them saying 'Oh, my God, look at these white people. They're doing something so important to us. They're taking down the statue of a Civil War general who fought for the South. You know, black people, in my opinion, black people laugh at white people who do this the same way we laugh at white people who say we got to take off the TV shows.

If you couldn’t tell, Johnson seems to be no fan of cancel culture. And besides, what’s the point of cancel culture? These people who push that garbage aren’t doing what they’re doing because they genuinely care about your feelings — although I’m sure there are some that are under the delusion that’s precisely what they’re doing. They do what they do for control of some sort, no matter how low the level of control they procure.

Johnson continued, and while his sentiment is understandable, he’s kind of missing the part of the point for some of these “activists.”

“Look, the people who are basically tearing down statues, trying to make a statement are basically borderline anarchists, the way I look at it. They really have no agenda other than the idea we're going to topple a statue," Johnson also said. "It's not going to give a kid whose parents can't afford college money to go to college. It's not going to close the labor gap between what white workers are paid and what black workers are paid. And it's not going to take people off welfare or food stamps.”

The people taking down the statues are NOT anarchists. Anarchists do what they to eliminate government, to have a “free society” without a governmental body. Now, they may be "anarchists" by some of the definitions of what constitutes an anarchist. But the people taking down these statues, at least the ones that are the loudest and most active, absolutely want a governing body. They just want said government body to be helmed by themselves without any kind of election, and they DO have an agenda.

These “activists” claim that Trump is an authoritarian dictator, but it seems the only people destroying things in order to have their “demands” met are the “activists” themselves. They also claim to fight for democracy. But as we all know — or at least should know — is that democracy always leads to socialism. And as the late Vladimir Lenin once said, “The goal of socialism is communism.”

Good for Johnson that he isn’t scared of the mob by standing up and telling “activists” that what they’re doing impresses no one but themselves and the sheep that eat up their propaganda.
