Bacon just keeps getting better and better. Not only is it one of the tastiest meats you can have with a delicious serving of egg and cheese on a toasted roll, but it is also an item that can save your life.
So, next time someone tells you that you shouldn’t eat or buy so much bacon, you can tell them bacon can help people. When that person asks how, you can respond by saying, "A packet of bacon saved an 86-year old woman from being robbed at a supermarket.” And you wouldn’t be lying.
The Greater Manchester Police, Trafford South division, reported on their Facebook page on Thursday that an 86-year old woman defended herself from a robber by beating the assailant over the head with a packet of bacon.
According to their Facebook:
Yesterday afternoon an 86 year old female withdrew a large quantity of money from a cash machine before heading into a supermarket in Altrincham. Whilst shopping, the lady was challenged by an unknown female who grabbed her trolley and demanded the money she had withdrawn. The 86 year old lady then defended herself by repeatedly hitting the female offender over the head with a packet of bacon. The offender then retreated and made off from the supermarket.
With all the hectic protests happening at the Republican National Convention right now and the madness of the radical left, we can all take a step back and thank bacon for fulfilling a civil duty by protecting a life.
