Ayaan Hirsi Ali Just Laid the Smackdown On a Sharia Law Advocate

People in power who have no understanding of Islam or Sharia Law are constantly attempting to downplay some of the more radical aspects of the Muslim religion. But for some Sharia survivors, the truth seems pretty clear.

As part of a hearing Wednesday on Islamic ideology and terror held by the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, former practicing Muslim and Hoover Institution expert Ayaan Hirsi Ali promptly laid the smackdown on former director of the U.S. National Counterterrorism Center Michael Leiter.

Leiter argued that Sharia Law would not violate any constitutional law by comparing its religious doctrine with that of Christianity and Judaism.

“Muslims' honoring of Sharia is not inherently in tangent with living in constitutional democracies, anymore than it would be for Christians or Jews who also seek to honor their religious traditions while still complying with civil authority,” Leiter said.

Not to be outdone by a clearly ridiculous statement from a man who should know better, Ali delivered a setup, followed by a verbal knockout blow.

“My central argument is that political Islam implies a constitutional order fundamentally incompatible with the U.S. Constitution and with the ‘constitution of liberty’ that is the foundation of the American way of life,” Ali said through her written testimony.

Ali expanded further to detail just some of the many ways Sharia is inherently un-American.

“Let it be said explicitly,” Ali continued, “the Islamists’ program is fundamentally incompatible with the U.S. Constitution, religious tolerance, the equality of men and women, the tolerance of different sexual orientations, the ban on cruel and unusual punishment and other fundamental human rights.”

Ali, as Breitbart reported, is “an honor violence victim,” and “a strong advocate against female genital mutilation (FGM).”

And she speaks from experience, not from some narrative that the media and government want people to believe.

Ali even had complimentary words for President Trump, saying the president's call to combat radical Islam is “refreshing and heartening.”

It's fair to say that any system of law that views a rape victim as the criminal unless they have four witnesses to the act is inherently evil, and wholly contradictory to the system of law to which the United States ascribes.
