Is anyone going to tell these inept, authoritarian world leaders that they probably shouldn't say the quiet part out loud? Don't get me wrong, I love that they're so stupid that they say things that mean nothing to them, but take the average person aback. But good Lord, those same leaders can't help putting their feet in their word holes.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison was taking part in a press conference last Thursday concerning vaccines for children ages 5 through 11. During the question-and-answer period of the presser, Morrison said the previously mentioned quiet part out loud.

"I appreciate greatly all the work done by the premiers and chief ministers in seeing those national vaccination rates get to where they are," Morrison said. "We've got one more state to get through that gate. It's a bit like getting the sheep through the gate and into the run."

So, let me get this straight. Getting people vaccinated is like "getting the sheep through the gate?" Is Morrison saying that vaccinated people are like herded sheep? I guess that would be up to him to explain, but don't expect the media in Australia to ask that question.
