Is it wrong for a career military man to call out his own government when he feels they have overstepped their bounds and become “tyrannical?” Or is it the same as the “acts of bravery” we always hear about when some Twitter dork reveals they’ve been bullied online? Sure, apples and oranges, but you get the point. Why is one considered wrong and one considered brave?

This is the case for Army Lt. Col. Paul Douglas Hague, who tendered his resignation letter recently over what he calls an “unlawful, unethical, immoral and tyrannical order,” referencing the mandatory vaccine order for all U.S. military service members, according to Fox News.

Hague’s wife posted her husband’s resignation letter to Twitter, noting that “he’s walking away from his retirement” just one year short of the 20 years of active service required to qualify for his pension.

In the letter, Hague also noted that part of the reason he’s resigning is because of “an ideologically Marxist takeover of the military and United States government at their upper echelons.”

“I would like nothing more than to continue in the Army to reach my 20 years of active federal service and retire with my pension,” Hague wrote. “However, I instead will join those who have served before me in pledging my Life, my Fortune, and my Sacred Honor to continue resisting the eternal and ever-mutable forms of oppression and tyranny — both from enemies outside our nation’s borders, and those within.”

Hague’s resignation is the result of a larger problem facing the President Joe Biden’s regime — people are beginning to turn on the federal government and its leader in a ways we haven’t seen in a long time.
