AOC Says Her 'Dreams Of Motherhood Now Taste Bittersweet' Thanks to Climate Change - Which Can Only Be Solved By Socialism

Speaking before the C40 climate summit in Copenhagen this weekend, New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez again espoused her theory that mankind is facing sure "extinction" thanks to global warming before claiming that the only solution to the coming planetary doomsday is to redistribute wealth and fix income inequality.

For the planet, you know.

AOC began her diatribe by claiming mankind is now facing a choice between “extinction” and “opportunity,” saying she is “sad to report that there is no middle road on the climate crisis” – a fearmongering narrative that conveniently bolsters her all-or-nothing push toward government-run socialism.

“The climate crisis is already here,” Ocasio-Cortez claimed from the podium, appearing to choke up from tears she never actually sheds. “On this note I speak to you not as an elected official or public figure, but I speak to you as a human being — a woman whose dreams of motherhood now taste bittersweet because of what I know about our children’s future, and that our actions are responsible for bringing their most dire possibilities into focus. I speak to you as a daughter and descendant of colonized peoples who have already begun to suffer.”

AOC then laughably claimed that natural disasters purportedly caused by man-made climate change “get relatively little media coverage” and that the media almost never “dares to mention climate change.”

“It is not a coincidence that the truth is controversial,” she said. “None of this is a coincidence because climate change is not a coincidence or a scientific anomaly. Climate change is a consequence. It is a consequence of our unsustainable way of life.”

The freshman congresswoman then shifted gear and predictably touted her own Green New Deal and the systematic takedown of capitalism as the solutions to this global calamity, saying that in order to avoid the coming apocalypse we must “change society” and adding that “the two are inextricable.”

“Meeting the climate crisis will require the largest economic mobilization we may have ever tried to pursue as a human species. And that is what a Green New Deal is all about,” she said.

AOC continued to give the game away, admitting that socialism is ultimately the “winning political coalition” that can finally achieve “equality” and right “injustice” by redistributing wealth at the point of the government gun. These "solutions," she claims, will finally address income disparity and focus on "poor" and "urban communities."

Oh, and save the planet. Yeah. The planet.

Almost forgot about that.
