House Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) finally addressed Biden's border crisis in a video on her Instagram account on Tuesday, in which she declared that anyone who referred to the enormous arrivals of migrants on the southwest border as a “surge” is using a white supremacist narrative because the term invokes “a militaristic frame.”

”This is not a surge,” she said. “These are children, and they are not insurgents, and we are not being invaded.”

She further stated the crisis on the border was “not a border crisis. It’s an imperialism crisis. It’s a climate crisis. It’s a trade crisis. And also, it’s a carceral crisis.”

Many people on Twitter are already bashing Ocasio-Cortez for her definition of the word "surge," as evidenced by the tweets below.

The New York congresswoman was one of the most vocal critics of the Trump administration's handling of illegal aliens and unaccompanied minors - including placing them in the same, now overcrowded facilities Biden is currently using. AOC was quick to support leftists' labeling of these facilities as "concentration camps," suggesting Trump was a Nazi for using the fenced-in facilities to house children.

The congresswoman has been conspicuously quiet about the Biden administration's handling of the crisis, now calling it a "surge."
