On the heels of unveiling her “Green New Deal” that calls for everything from guaranteed housing to free ponies year-round birthday parties with endless ice cream for every American, freshman N.Y. Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez declared Thursday that illegal aliens have the “right to human mobility” into the United States because they’re descended from “native people.”

“We have to have respect for children, respect for families, respect for human rights and respect for the right to human mobility because it is a right,” Ocasio-Cortez declared during a diatribe against federal immigration enforcement.

“It is a right because we are standing on native land, and Latino people are descendants of native people,” she continued. “And we cannot be told and criminalized simply for our identity or our status.”

Here's her speech, in case you have four minutes of your life to waste watching your own brain dribble out of your ears.

Well, actually dear, you can be criminalized based on your status, if your status runs contrary to current federal law passed by…well, Congress.

Ocasio-Cortez went on to say that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) "do not deserve a dime" until they can "prove" that they're willing to "embrace immigrants." (And yes, we're going to just ignore the part where ICE only enforces the rules and regulations passed by -- again -- Congress.

It’s also not entirely apparent what AOC means by “native peoples,” considering most Latin Americans are descended from indigenous groups who were native to somewhereotherthan the continental United States.

Then again, I'm looking for logic from a woman who thinks it's realistic to eliminate cars, airplanes and cow farts while rebuilding very single building in the United States over the next 10 years. My bad.
